This one had been on my radar a few months ago…And I must admit, I’m partial to it for a few reasons…
These commercials were deemed a great success in Britain and really, they’re quite simple. The narrative is spot-on and we’re just so abstract they really caught my attention. The pieces were made by D.A.D.D.Y. and they’ve created four fake, animated PSAs for the “British Biscuit Advisory Board” (Rocky Biscuits) to promote safe biscuit-eating practices. A friend had tweeted about this campaign earlier in January 2010 about this campaign that Doritos cooked up for their prized commercial spot for this year’s Superbowl. They accepted user submitted commercials, posted them online for voting, and the video with the most votes, took the commercial spot …and got a huge pile of cash…(to the tune of $250,000) … Here’s the mashup of the top 6 commercials…Talk about letting the public take control of your brand!
Google’s been notorious lately in the world of the web and media for it’s rather creative product video’s/commercials. There was for example, the latest Google Chrome Video, The video for Google buzz, but the newest, in time for the SuperBowl, was this neat little spot, that I thought I’d Share…It’s a bit different…It’s a product walk through…(about google.com) without actually seeming like “here’s what it can do for you” … It’s more of a small love story, and how google helped it progress…Worth a peak!
