Stereophonics Win Gold @ Vancouver 2010
Feb 2010 23

So, One of my favourite bands of all time, Stereophonics (who’s management company is based in Vancouver, BC, Canada) We’re booked to play the Victory Ceremony on Friday evening at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. As below, they finally brought back the full band version of “Maybe Tomorrow” Back into the set. Since about 2005, Kelly has played the song Solo, before the band’s encore, or as part of the encore, by himself on an electric Fender. This marks the first time since 2003, I’ve seen/heard them play it full band again! Enjoy!

Kasabian Fire up the Brits
Feb 2010 17

One of my favourite bands took to the stage last night in England with the song that spun me onto them – Kasabian. They played Fire at the Brit Awards 2010 show. First time I’ve seen the band play with a full Horn section, and the usual group of backing singers. There were however, mixed reactions regarding the pyro work…With a song called Fire…It was nice to see …fire on the stage…but could they have added a bit more? …Watch it below…

Tweeting from the Road, Stereophonics take the Cake.
Feb 2010 10

Stereophonics Tweet from the RoadThe Stereophonics have long been one of my favourite bands to follow on Twitter.  Heck, to be honest, they ARE my favourite to follow on twitter.   They’ve just embarked on Tour, and already in the past 2 days there’ve been almost a dozen tweets.  Each tweet is a message, and a picture … so far, from drinks,  gig prep,  on the road,  and food/pit stops… Just stellar.

Noel Gallagher Returns to the Stage…
Feb 2010 07

In a bit of a surprise move to me,  Noel Gallagher has announced he’s taking the stage in his first Solo Performances without “Oasis”  in March.  He’ll be taking part in the Teenage Cancer Trust gigs on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th March.   I’m proper stoked to hear what he picks as a setlist.  Will we see a stripped down set full of Oasis songs,  or new unheard songs?
